2 out of 5 stars Great Sound Quality & Fit - Poor Durability   December 22, 2008
I purchased these Nike headphones from a local store with really high expectations. As with the other reviews, I was quite pleased with them for about three months. They fit comfortably, had a great sound, and even provided some insulation from the cold weather when running outside in the winter months.

Unfortunately, I was plagued by the same problem as the other reviews. After about 2.5 months of running outdoors for about 3-4 miles five days a week, the sound in one of the speakers gave out. After further inspection, the wires on the back of the headphones were separating. I ultimately lost sound in both speakers.

This should not happen to headphones that were designed specifically for active use! I would strongly suggest you consider another product if you are planning to use these headphones exclusively for listening to music while running.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible, I wish that I had listened   December 16, 2008
These headphone were horrible from the moment that I bought them. First, they were always tight around my ears; I had to remove them occasionally because it felt as if they were cutting off circulation. Furthermore, if you jog wearing glasses or sunglasses, they are even more unbearably tight.

However, I was able to deal with the temporary pain and inevitable readjustment, but after just 3 weeks of having them, one of the speaks stopped working. Now music only plays out of one side.

For $38 (the price that I paid), I expected stellar quality, and these headphones fell unbelievably short.

2 out of 5 stars Shotty Wire Results in Loss of Sound   September 9, 2008
When you first see these headphones they seem perfect. In fact, I am about to buy my 4th pair in just under a year. Mind you, buying 4 pairs is not because I can't live without them, but because after about 2.5 to 3 months of regular use, the wire gets pinched or twisted or torn or something and one then both of the headphones lose sound.

I work out, on average, 5 days per week and run 4 to 7 miles per day.

The ear pads are made of a comfortable rubber, not foam. This makes them perfectly sweat resistant. In that sense, they do exactly what I bought them for and I have not found another pair of sweat resistant over-the-ear headphones. Just be prepared to buy a new pair every few months.

In closing, I would say that this product is perfect for someone willing to spend $120 per year on headphones for working out.

4 out of 5 stars Not bad so far   June 21, 2008
Using these with my i pod Shuffle on long runs, no problems so far, very comfortable.

2 out of 5 stars First impressions are not always the best   January 21, 2008

When I first got these headphones I was very excited. Finally there was a sweat resistant over ear headphone that would be able to stand 3 miles/day and intense gym workouts! For the first month, that is exactly what they were and I was excited, even ready to make this review a 5 star instead of 2 star, but, randomly, the sound to one of the earphones was lost at about mile 1.75 today. On CAREFUL inspection, I saw that the cord was coming apart at the back of the headphones probably due to the properties of my copious amounts of sweat that can come from a good workout. And thus, $30 has been dropped down the drain. Aside from not producing sound out of the right ear, they fit well and were excellent for the first month.
